Spending time outdoors can be incredibly gratifying. Whether you are a seasoned outdoorsman or the type that can only take fresh air and sunshine in small doses, outdoor activities are rewarding in numerous ways.
Camping, for instance, is a great way to just get away from it all for a while. The great thing about camping is that it can be simple or very rugged and extreme. From young boys camping out in their backyard to camping veterans who pitch their tents in the wilderness miles away from civilization, camping is an activity that anyone can enjoy. A night under the stars is a great way to get away from it all and refresh yourself!
Camping also allows us to get a glimpse of nature that we typically only see on television. It can truly be a captivating experience to see certain animals—deer, rabbits, squirrels, foxes and so on—in their natural environments. Similarly, by spending time outdoors, you are also opening yourself up to many sights and sounds that the television cannot capture.

On the other hand, there are many adrenaline junkies turn to activities such as white water rafting or rock climbing as a way to commune with nature. For those that want to experience excitement without the life-threatening thrills, you may also want to look into bicycling, canoeing or even floating the local river.
